A surreal portrait about perception beyond sight: betta fish and roses partly hide the face and invite you to look deeper. Emerald and copper tones, layered detail and a quiet tension between the visible and the real.
“If you decide to believe only what you see, you have also decided to be blind to everything you don’t see.”
We often trust only what is visible: what can be measured, explained or proven. But some of the most important things in life were never meant to be seen with the eyes.
This work is about the quiet tension between what is visible and what is real. The face, partly hidden and transformed, is not a limitation but an invitation to look deeper.
The betta fish are flowing movement and a veil before the eyes: thoughts and intuitions that colour how we see the world. The flowers are inner growth, intuition and the blossoming of emotional depth.
Sometimes what we call blindness is only the moment before we truly begin to see. Perhaps the real question is not “What do I see?” but “What am I still refusing to see?”
